  1. Grades. Grades are split into 5 categories:
    1. Daily work: Most one day assignments are daily work and are due on the assigned day. They are worth 3 points based on completion and they are not given credit if turned in late. Most daily assignments are gone over prior to turning in. This is your change to learn the information.
    2. Daily Reflection: These are done at the beginning or the end of every class period. Every three weeks you need to offer an answer or input during the warm-ups times on the index cards to receive full credit. You are able to complete up to three extra for a total of 3 points extra credit for every three week period of time.
    3. Open-note quizzes: These are often impromptu or short notice but you may use the appropriate daily work to complete them. You may NOT retake an open note quiz
    4. Closed-note Quizzes: These are short quizzes that use information on previously completed daily work. You will have advanced notice for these, and they may be retaken upon arrangement.
    5. Projects/writing projects: Larger assignments are projects. They are an assessment of your knowledge or a larger research based assignment. These will range from 10-50 points. Writing projects are a lengthier writing assignment using a specific writing skill. They may be turned in late with a penalty.
LASTLY: COMMUNICATION BEFORE  A DEADLINE IS ALWAYS IMPORTANT IF HELP IS NEEDED OR AN EXTENSION IS NEEDED.
