Today is an ‘E’ day.

  1. Earth’s Geological Timeline Activity day 3
    1. Complete activity analysis on the back of the paper
    2. Begin conclusion:

Individually (not with your partner) write a one to two page, typewritten (12 pt, 1” margins, 1 ½ line spacing) conclusion to the Geological Timeline Activity. In this conclusion you will need to explain the following information:

  1. Discuss each eon, era, and period of the Geological Timeline. Place them into the chronological (time) order with the correct number of years ago and explain if they can be broken down into smaller time periods             (eras into periods etc.).
  2. Explain major events of each period. Make sure you cover both geological events and biological events, especially extinctions.
  3. Explain how geological time (deep time) is different than the kind of time that humans experience. How would you explain the very big difference between them?

Do not make a list of eons, eras and periods. Instead, create at least one paragraph for each era and discuss each period and the events of that period. The discussion of geological time and human time should be it’s own paragraph.

Your conclusion should be spell checked, edited and formatted. This conclusion should demonstrate your knowledge of the Geological Timeline and how it differs from the human timeline.
