-The heaviest macaw is the buffon
-The smallest macaw is the Red-shouldered macaw
-Macaws have their first and fourth toes pointing backwards
-The red macaws are endangered
-In Costa Rica, people help and care for macaws a lot
-Six species of macaw are already extinct
-Another way that macaws have gotten endangered is by people taking them and trading them
-Macaws eat fruits,palm fruits,nuts,leaves, seeds,flowers,and stems
-Parrots and macaws from the Amazon Basin eat clay to neutralize their toxins
