Assessment Friday. LT’s posted on previous post.

]]>Refer to previous post for learning targets for Friday’s assessment.

For Thursday, students should have unit 2.3 A and C done (4.2 was due today).

]]>I can explain how to determine a function given a table or a graph.

I can explain what the Range and Domain of a function is.

I can solve a quadratic equation using “completing the square”. (Students must show their work!)

I can solve a quadratic equation using the quadratic formula and represent my answers as simplified radicals. (The formula will be given to students. NO calculators will be used.)

]]>**Learning Targets for mini-assessment on Friday**:

I can calculate (with a calculator) mean, median, mode, range, and MAD of a set of data.

I can answer questions about a set of data and justify my answer using measures of center (mean, median) and measures of variability (range, MAD) and displays of the data (box and whisker plots, line plots).

I can determine if a sample is representative of a given population.

]]>

We then launched into solving quadratics. Students received notes on completing the square. Due next class: 4.1 and 4.2

]]>No work due next class.
