Monday (12/14)

1.  In periods 3,4,6 today, we read Alligator Bayou Chapter 9 as a Readers’ Theater.

2.  Tomorrow I will be attending an all-day workshop with the other middle school language arts teachers, so be on you most pleasant behavior for Mr. Healey.

3.  You will be typing your Letters About Literature draft during class.  Having the template + your book, will expedite this process. The only computer cart available is the Chromebooks, so if you have not submitted the Google docs. app form to our school office, you must resort to composing with paper + pencil.

Monday (12/7)

1.  See  last week’s post if you need info pertaining to the Food + Family Essay.

2.  Today in periods 3,4,6, we learned another way to expand sentences without writing run-ons.  We analyzed  and wrote sentences with this pattern:  independent clause, comma, dependent phrase.

3.  Using the rubrics we created last Friday and working with a  partner, students provided feedback on drafts of the Food + Family Essay.

Due:  Final Food + Family Essay:   6th period = Thursday (12/10) and 3rd, 4th, 5th = Friday (12/11)

Thursday (12/10)

1.  Please revisit all details listed in Monday’s post above.
