MSND/ Shakespeare Unit Assessment:  Objective Test Friday, April 4

Tons of review, including a Jeopardy like game, will take place during class.  Start reviewing your packet and other handouts.

Group Performances Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday

Be active in your group by contributing ideas and assisting one another in reciting lines.  Rehearse your part over and over again.

Students will be taking the OAKS Reading Assessment this week during their language arts class.  Periods 4, 5, 6 will be testing in the mac lab, and period 7 will test in the classroom. 

Here are two suggestions  for test preparation:  a good night’s sleep and a high-protein breakfast.

Extra-Credit

Design an original  illustration of an oxymoron.

We will begin reviewing MSND and Shakespeare unit of study for an objective-format test that will be administered the week following Spring Break.

Students will create acting troupes, select a MSND scene , gather props, rehearse, and  finally perform in class the week following spring break as the grand finale to our Shakespeare unit of study.

Go University of Dayton Flyers; beat Ohio State Buckeyes.

Lesson 1 (Monday periods 4,5,6 and Tuesday period 6)

Today we read and discussed an article “Reading Shakespeare has dramatic effect on human brain.”  Using content from the article and MSND excerpts, we spent about 5 minutes writing a script between yourself and a peer who is not familiar with Shakespeare’s plays or poetry. Reading and interpreting MSND 3.1 followed.

HOMEWORK:  Continue dialogue mentioned above.  Here are the requirements:

  • 10 back and forth entries
  • 2 MSND excerpts
  • info from article
  • typed
  • Your script should look like a script!  Follow model shown in class.
  • Due: Friday, March 7.
