7th Grade

All students need to bring to class a clean, lidless can (12oz) that will be used during our new unit of study: Greek Mythology.

First period students are to complete the word variety sheet “A Nice, Nice Story” that we started in class.

Second period students are to finish reading  “The Red Cap.”

8th Grade

If you want to keep your Character Wheel project, please take it home by Thursday; those left behind will be recyled on Friday.

A few students still have not given their banned/challenged book speech.  This must be done by Thursday.

Currently we’re reading ” On the Rainy River,” an excerpt from They Things They Carried.  A short writing piece prompted from the literature will be introduced tomorrow.

7th Grade

In class, students have been composing a childhood narrative about an ATTWN character.  Second period’s are due at the end of class tomorrow, and 1st periods are due at the end of class on Thursday.

All periods must be typed in size 12 font, 1.5 line spacing; additionally, stories must include correctly punctuated dialogue.

8th Grade

Sixth period students are finished presenting b/c book speeches; fourth period will finish up tomorrow.  All students must submit a final draft, yellow parent practice sheet, and speech index cards.

7th Grade

Tomorrow all 3 ATTWN graphic organizers are due.  You have had more than ample time to complete them, therefore, no late ones will be accepted.

8th Grade

Banned/Challenged Book speeches continue.  Remember, following your speech you must turn in to me your final paper, speech cue cards, and the bright yellow practice sheet with a parent signature.
