7th Grade

Be sure to check your on-line grades as first quarter ends this Thursday.

Today I introduced the new vocabulary words.  Below I have listed the words and your assignment that is due this Thursday, Nov. 3

1. exasperation   2. tedious   3. prolific   4. exotic   5. wielding    6. intrepid   7. enterprising    8. hoax   9. baseless    10.  admonish

Your vocabulary activity is called “USE IT and ABUSE IT.”  The “USE IT” sentence shows the word being used correctly (include context clues). The “ABUSE IT” sentence features the word used incorrectly.  The correct word is one that SOUNDS very similar to the vocab word. Here’s an example:

USE:  The toddler expressed his exasperation with a temper tantrum.

ABUSE: Don’t drink that milk; the exasperation date is 1999! (expiration)
