For some of you, this is ‘old’ news but I want to officially introduce Ms. Megan Rains who is interning in my classroom this year from Lewis and Clark School of Teacher Education. Ms. Rains has been in our room now since October (part time) and has now started taking on teaching responsibilities for Period 2. After Spring Break she will pick up another class and then in May she will pick up a third class.
Ms. Rains grew up in Puyallup, Washington, graduated from Texas A&M University with a BA in Bioenvironmental Science. She’s worked as a Wastewater Treatment scientist in King Co., Washington and then studying river ecology in Cork, Ireland. She then worked for an environmental consulting firm in Dallas, Texas and as a subcontractor for the Dept. of Energy in New Mexico. Wow!…now there’s some science experience! AND, she’s a great teacher too! How lucky we all are to have such experience and dedication in our school. If you get the chance, stop by and meet Ms. Rains sometime soon.
