As we begin 2013, the microworld is coming into focus! Yes, we’re studying microscopes and soon we’ll be looking at living things that are too small to be seen with the naked eye. Students are just completing their training in how to use a microscope and are becoming quite the experts on them. As I told students, if they really love microscopes and want to consider careers where microscopes are used, they can take classes in microscopy from The McCrone Research Institute in Chicago. It’s never too soon to start considering options! If you’re interested in any courses or want to see some of the great work at The McCrone Research Institute, just ‘google’ the name and check it out. Fascinating work!
